Bradley Tech
From Radio Milwaukee...
Men to Men is a young men's support program housed at the Lynne and Harry Bradley School of Trade and Technology. Created by school social worker Amy Baumgardt, this program provides Bradley Tech young men a positive and safe environment in which they can learn team-building and leadership skills, act as big brothers to 81st Street School students, and participate in field trips to Marquette University...all designed to increase self-esteem and self-awareness among its participants.
I was invited to one of their meetings, and was blown away by Jaylan, Desmond, Ruben, Corey, Sanjuan, Darius, and Adam. These young men have what it takes to become leaders in our community, and through the enthusiastic and professional guidance of Miss Amy, these boys showed me what it takes to be real men.
